 Introduction:

Spinach panner is such a classic dish that is a perfect combination of heart and health. If you are a fan of different flowers, then Spinach panner is for you.  Let's See how to make this recipe to at home in an easy way.



Ingredients:

  • 200 gm panner (cubed)
  • 4-5 cup spinach ( washed and chopped)
  • 1 large onion ( finaly chopped)
  • 2 tomato chopped 
  • 2 green chillies (chopped)
  • 1 inch peas of ginger 
  • 4 -5 peas of garlic 
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds 
  • 1/2 tbsp tarmaric powder 
  • 1 tbsp garam masala 
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder 
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder 
  • 1/4 cup fresh cream ( optional)
  • 2 tbsp oil/ ghee
  • Salt for taste 
  • Water as needed 

Let's see how to make it:

Blanch the Spinach:

First of all wash the spinach and chop it and boil it in hot water, then immediately drain water and keep it ice water for 2-3 minutes. This step will keep the greens of spinach intact and the vegetable will look fresh.

Blend the Spinach:

Once the spinach cools down, take a mixture blender and add the cooled spinach, green chillies, ginger and garlic and blend it till it becomes smooth puree.

Cook the Base:

Heat oil in a pan and add sumin seeds and let them sizzle. Then add chopped onions in it and let it cook till it turns golden brown.

Then add tomatoes to it and add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and let it cook until the oil becomes separated.

Bring in the Spinach:

Then add the spinach puree to it and simmer it for about 5 minutes on low flame until the flovers are melt well. If the curry seems too thick, you can add some water to keep it consistent.

Add the Paneer:

Now we add cubes of panner in it. And let everything simmer for 5 minutes so that the goodness of spinach gets added to the paneer. If you want to add cream then add 1 tbsp cream for extra rich flovers.

Finishing Touches:

Then sprinkle some garam masala for  final kick flovers. Now your Palak panner is ready, now it's time to enjoy it.

Tips:

Saute panner:

If you want a different texture then you can sauté the paneer in a pan with oil or ghee till it becomes golden brown and then add spinach, this will give a good texture to the paneer.

Don't over cooked spinach:

If you cook spinach for a longer time then the spinach loses its vibrant green color. To maintain its freshness, cook it on low flame and for a short time.

Add whole spices:

Apart from sumin seeds you can add other spices to the Palak Panner like bay leaves, cinnamon sticks etc.
