Make Easy Best Crispy and Crunch Dosa
If we talk about south Indian street food, then one name comes to our heart and that is "dosa" which is everyone's favourite. It is a perfect breakfast. Due to its crunchy taste, this dish ranks at the top of south Indian food. Whether you eat it plain or eat it with potato masala stuffing, it is always satisfying. If you want to make this at home then do read ahead.
Ingredients:
1 cup rice( probably shots gain rice or dosa rice)
1/4 cup urad dal
2 tbsp poha
1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds ( methi)
Water( as need for soaking and grinding)
Salt for taste
Oil or ghee for Cooking
Prepration for batter:
Soak the ingredients:
starting with soaking rice, urad dal and Fenugreek seeds in separate bowl may soak 6-8 hours or overnight this process help the making them easier to grind
into smooth batter.
Grinding a batter:
If the ingredients are soaked then drain the excess water and grind it in a high power blender until it becomes smooth. Then grind the previously soaked okra dal, rice and fenugreek seeds and soak poha in a bowl until one hour and grind that as well.
Fermat the batter:
Then add salt in the batter and stir well. Cover it and keep it in a warm place to ferment for 8-12 hours / overnight. This process is very important as this is how the dosa gets its taste and flavour. If you keep it in a cold place then it will take time to ferment.
Preparation for dosa:
Once the batter is ready we can start making dosa. First heat a nonstick pan on medium high flame and darzzil few drops water on it. For check the pan heat.
Spread the batter:
Once the pan is completely hot, put the batter in the middle of the pan with the help of a spoon and spread it in a circular motion. If you want crispy dosa then spread the dosa evenly and thinly.
Cook the dosa:
Then cook the dosa till it turns golden brown. This will make it crispy. And do not flip the dosa, this will make your dosa soft. If you want a crispy taste then cook the dosa on one side till it turns brown.
Serve:
Now your dosa is ready, you can serve it with masala potato, sambar or coconut chutney.
