Best Tawa Pulao For Your Meal
Tawa pulao is an Indian Mumbai style street food. It is made in less time and is so delicious. No matter how much it is eaten, it does not satisfy the heart. Its smoke, flavor and spice spices have such a taste that it always lingers on the tongue. This is a perfect dish which when you taste it and is made in less time will always give you a satisfying taste. Next I want to share such a dish with you with some variations and tips. As easy as it may seem, you too can make it in less time.
Why tawa pulao always hit:
The recipe of tawa pulao is always a favourite street food. In Mumbai, in a big pan, different dishes like pav bhaji, ragda, masala pav etc. are made on top of the pan. In the same way, pulao is also made. This recipe which is made in 15-20 minutes with some vegetable or rice is liked by everyone.There is a flavour added to this tawa pulao that makes people go crazy. It is like adding smoke flower to it. It is the same as we added to our dal tadka recipe. It is because of this taste that tawa pulao is so hit.
Ingredients:
- 2 cup rice ( leftover rice or fresh rice that cooled)
- 2 tbsp ghee ( you can use oil also)
- Vegetable:
- 1 large size Onion( finaly chopped)
- 2 large size tomato ( finaly chopped)
- 1 Medium size capsicum ( chopped)
- 1/4 cup green peas ( fresh or frozen)
- 1/4 cup finaly chopped carrots
- 4-5 Green chillies ( adjust accordingly to your choice)
- Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1.5 tsp pav bhaji masala
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt as per taste
- Fresh coriander leaves
- Lemon juice
How to make it step by step:
Cook the rice:
First add 2 cups of water in a pot and add some salt and 2 cups of rice. I will also add some cloves so that the rice does not become sticky And it will be a spicy style rice. Once the rice is cooked, keep it aside to cool.
Heat a tawa:
- Then take a large pan, if you don't have pan then you can use flat bottom pan. And let it heat on medium flame.
- Then add 2 tbsp butter in it and let it melt and add some oil so that your butter doesn't burn.
- Then add a cumin seeds and let them sizzle, then add chopped onion and cook till it turns golden brown. Then add ginger garlic paste and add green chillies and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add vegetable:
Then add chopped tomatoes and let it cook till it becomes soft and mushy. Then in that case add capsicum, green peas, carrot. And saute the vegetables for 5-6 minutes until are tender.
Spice it up
Add rice:
And this is the time when we will add rice to it. And we will mix it well. Till the vegetables and spices get mixed with the rice. But do not over cook it so that the rice does not breake.
Finish garnish:
Then add some lemon juice to it add different flavours in pulao and garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.

For paneer pulao add paneer cubes to the pulao it is a power- paked of protein. Fry the paneer cubes lightly before adding them.
